ROBBINS, N.C. — April 29, 2026 — OA Defense, the American firearms manufacturer that designs and manufactures the OA 2311™ from its facility in Robbins, North Carolina, today announced the appointment of Michael “Mike” Shook as Chief Operating Officer.

Shook’s appointment reinforces that commitment, bringing proven leadership experience in complex, high-stakes environments where precision and accountability are critical.

Michael “Mike” Shook is Chief Operating Officer of OA Defense, where he directs all operational functions spanning manufacturing, production, quality assurance, and order fulfillment. He is accountable for driving efficient, compliant, and scalable operations that uphold the company’s standards for product quality, reliability, and safety.
Mike brings more than three decades of leadership experience across the military and private sectors. He served over 30 years in the United States Army, including 27 years with U.S. Army Special Operations Command, where he led large organizations and directed complex operations in demanding global environments.
Following his military service, Mike served as Program Manager for a Department of Defense initiative focused on extended reality training systems, leading multi-company teams to deliver advanced capabilities to the warfighter.
Mike is also a Partner at Operational Advantage Group, a mining management firm that provides operational leadership and advisory services to mine operators across the industry. Drawing on his military and defense-industry experience, he helps clients build disciplined operations that drive safety, productivity, and long-term performance.
