To our friends and family in the OA Defense community,
It is with great excitement that I share this “State of the Company” update with you.
Our move from Nevada to North Carolina is now complete and we have made some fantastic advancements in the process. The necessity for the move was primarily centered around resources. Our strategic vision has been 200% growth by the end of 2027, to meet the growing market demand for the OA 2311 pistol line. Our team in Nevada was dedicated and performed well during our start-up phase in early 2022 and into 2023. As is typical with start-ups, however, we struggled to learn our craft and to develop the skills that we lacked. We stumbled often. Our Nevada team persevered to spite these challenges, and we are forever indebted to them for their efforts.
Earlier this year, it became clear that to achieve our aggressive growth goals, we needed access to additional resources: skilled personnel, supply chain, logistics, and service partners. These resources were scarce in the Nevada area. Relocation to Robbins, NC was the answer.
The move provided us with the following significant upgrades:
- Our Build, Quality Control, and Product Development teams are now comprised of skilled military veterans with deep firearms expertise and formal gunsmith training.
- The Robbins executive management team has been bolstered by special operations veterans with exemplary military careers and specific skillsets to lead the company during this time of growth.
- Geographically, we are now much closer to our critical suppliers and service providers and we have improved access to new strategic sales channels within the law enforcement and government sectors.
The move also presented us with many challenges. Manufacturing and QC equipment had to be recalibrated and, in some cases, even repaired. New personnel had to be identified and trained. Facility modifications were required. Most of all, the business interruption caused our order fulfillment times to increase in Q2 and Q3, and we experienced some fulfillment mistakes as we implemented new systems – including the launch of our new ERP software – in Robbins.
I am pleased to report, however, that we have addressed these challenges and our customers will now experience the benefits of our implemented solutions. Order fulfillment times should be within 60-90 days by the end of this year. The craftsmanship and attention to detail of our Build and QC teams now allow us to consistently deliver on our promise of Race Gun Performance with Duty Gun Reliability. Our Customer Experience team – already recognized as one of the best in the industry – will continue to stop at nothing when it comes to customer satisfaction. Last, we have several new models and exciting engineering projects in the works which we are looking forward to sharing with you in the coming months.
I want to personally thank you for your patience and grace as we relocated and graduated from our start-up phase. We are now maturing into an established brand and a fierce market competitor. To my fellow OA 2311 owners, we are so grateful for your support. To those who have been watching and waiting for our move to be completed, I encourage you to give us a try. I am confident that you will be blown away by the quality, performance, and value of our American-made firearms.
On behalf of our whole team, thank you. We will continue to pursue our mission of Craftsmanship, Character, and Credibility while staying true to our pillars of Faith, Family, and Freedom.
With excitement and gratitude
Christopher Moore
President
